No time for anything pithy this month; let's get right to the letters:

This is an excellent site. It's good to see that someone besides myself appreciates the Seattle Pilots. My father was an outfielder for the Pilots in 1969 (Wayne Comer). Thanks for having so much information about memorabilia, etc pertaining to the Pilots. I have you bookmarked for future reference.

What a pleasant surprise to see this site! If I had a time machine, I would go back to 1969 (when I was 18 years old) and pay a visit to Sicks Stadium to see Bouton, T. Davis, and Harper of the Pilots! I loved that expansion team and was very disappointed they wound up in Selig's hands in Milwaukee in '70! That old ballpark must have been a classic! Thanks for all your efforts - I'm hooked on the Pilots!

On your web page you stated that the only player not listed was Billy Williams because his number was not known. I might have a clue for you. I coach High School baseball, and a former player of mine gave me an autographed ball from his coach Billy Williams. He said he remembered me talking about the Seattle Pilots when he played for me in High School, and wanted to surprise me with a Pilot autograph from one one of his minor league coaches who mentioned that he had played for the Seattle Pilots. When Billy Williams sign the ball he also signed the # 51 on the ball.

I have written to you before about your wonderful website. I've even seen my letter posted in your "Fan Feedback" section! I've gotta say that as time passes, this website is growing into the resource I had always hoped to find or start. Kudos! I just read a letter from a fellow Pilots fan requesting a "Where are they now?" page for all the Pilots. Sounds like a great idea!!! I have a suggestion of my own: How about a page dedicated to a Seattle Pilots reunion of all the surviving former players? It could be in a petition form, or simply a fan interest page to sign stating how we all would love to see Harper, Mincher, Hegan, Bouton, and the the other guys together again for one day (maybe at a Seattle Mariners pregame?). I remember Jim Bouton stating in his latest edition of "Ball Four" that he was disappointed nobody has tried this. I feel that this page could be the source for making that come true! These guys deserve one last standing ovation in Seattle, and I would definitely come all the way from Cincinnati to see them on the field for their curtain call!!

I am looking for a Pilots jersey. I know Cooperstown Collection produced these (home and away, I think) but I have not been able to locate any. Please let me know if you know where these might be found. I love the site; took one look at it and bookmarked it right away.

NOTE FROM MIKE: Just check out the For Sale section of this site to get an address, e-mail address and phone number for Mitchell & Ness. They sell authentic reproductions of Pilots jerseys, hats and even warm-up jackets. I don't think they have their own Web site yet, but you can call or write for their free catalog.

Send me an e-mail and I might post your letter.
